Hello everyone, This should be a test to see if anyone comes here anymore, it's been so long since I have posted anything I suspect any readers have given up on me. Lots of interesting things have happened since I last posted but I'll only touch on a few things since I don't want to spend the time writing an autobiography here now. Biggest news, I've moved to another place 2 miles from my place, which is equipped with a real modern house and shop and even has running water and electricity! I still have my other place and I spend quite a bit of time there working on things and when I feel like going back in time I can go to the old place and sit by the fire, read a book by lamp light and cook supper on the wood stove. I don't miss being dirty all the time, in fact, that is the one thing that drove me nuts about living 100 years in the past. Now I am thrilled to be able to do laundry whenever I want and to do the dishes after every meal. When I decided to try living without modern conveniences for a couple of years I had to dispense with having a clean house because it was just too much to keep up with, especially without water. Now, I can go back to being a house cleaning fanatic.

I have been spending lots of time doing things at Aaron's place, and hopefully they will be ready for winter by the time it finally shows up, which if the weather false prophets are accurate should be tomorrow. The roof is on, the drains work (that was a nasty job) and we put my little wood stove in for heat, though I doubt that will be enough when it gets really cold. They have been coming over to my place several times a week and we stay up until ridiculous hours of the night singing which is rather fun, we need more musicians but it's fine for now.

I took some pictures recently so here's one to add color to the post, my filly, I hope to get a few more horses, probably a couple of ponies too since the price on horses has bottomed out at about nothing. Horses are useful and I would like to do some long camping trips where I pack all of my gear in on horses.

Here's one of my shack. I think things have changed a little since I first posted a picture of it, sometime next spring I hope to finish building the porch and put on the siding and roofing. It won't take much because it's so small.
Well it looks like this nation has chosen to go the route of socialism. May God keep us from destroying ourselves!
