I've got about 5 minutes to spare in front of a computer, which is almost unheard of for me these days, I was searching for a good deal on tires but since the price has almost doubled on them since I last bought tires for anything I decided that I wouldn't ruin what was otherwise a very nice day by figuring out how much I was going to have to spend getting all of the tires I should get. I was thinking of getting a complete set of tires for every car, pickup, truck, motorcycle, lawnmower and wheelbarrow that I own in order to have them on hand before the price went out of sight but it looks like I am a bit too late as the price has nearly done that already.
What's new here? Nothing earth shattering but there's certainly a lot that I can be thankful for. The trees are beautiful,my orchard weathered the winter nicely and many of the trees are blooming profusely, making my front yard smell absolutely delicious. The plums are in full bloom, apples are just starting, the strawberries made the winter perfectly and are blooming as well, I just added another row and also got some raspberries in so my gardens are looking good and full. Last year I didn't concentrate on landscaping or yard work, just barely managing to keep the lawn mowed and sticks picked up (I have a lot of shade trees over the lawn that shed branches and leaves) so this year I have allowed myself a bit of freedom to do landscaping and yard work which is one of my favorite things to do. I love making places look beautiful and up to this point in my life I have been unable to really do much with it because I've never had a place of my own that I could really do anything with. I would try to keep things neat but that's about the limit of what I could do, now there's nothing in my way except for lack of time to spend doing it and of course, money to buy things like flowers and bushes. Oh well, that will come with time.
Yesterday I spent most of the day handing out fliers for the Jim Bartlett for ND Senate campaign. The Bartlett boys and several other friends took various conveyances in the Bottineau Memorial day parade while Jim, Lynn, one other lady and I walked along the parade handing out fliers to everyone. I actually enjoy that sort of thing once in a while, it reminds me of my old 4-H days dealing with lots of people, unfortunately I had forgotten just how much that sort of thing actually wears me out, I was doing just fine until we sat down to supper, then I just faded away to a wet noodle feeling and began to wonder if I was going to make it home without having to stop for a nap! Generally I am not at a loss for energy so talking to people all day must really take a lot of energy. We did go door to door in a small town after the parade, so there was some walking involved, but I am used to lots of walking. All in all it was fun, I talked with a lot of nice people and finished with a lot fewer fliers, and only one dog bite!
I said I had 5 minutes and that time is up, I should now go home and weed before the thistles get ahead of me.

Wow. That's good typing/editing for 5 minutes!
Hm. Sorry to hear about the tire prices. It does seem everything is getting so expensive!
The blossoms sound delicious from here! We're a little ahead of you since a lot of the blossoms on the trees have past.
Oh and go Mr. Bartlett! :D
